Do not let your phone make the decision
Phones can change time zones automatically when they connect to a local network. That can be useful ashore but confusing if the ship keeps a different clock.
Check the daily schedule
The cruise app, printed daily program or onboard announcement should tell you the time standard used for that port.
Independent operators may quote local time
When booking outside the cruise line, confirm whether meeting and return times are local time or ship time.
Use an alarm you understand
Before leaving the ship, compare your watch or phone with the official ship time and note the all-aboard deadline explicitly.

Write down the decision that affects your booking or port day, the deadline for making it, and the information that could still change. Cruise planning gets easier when permanent preferences are separated from live operational details.
