CruiseGuide collects only the data needed to operate and improve the site.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 is disabled unless you select Allow analytics. You may instead select Refuse and use every current guide, download and Compass feature without analytics. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time to change or withdraw your choice.

When allowed, we measure page views and controlled interaction events such as starting or submitting Compass, viewing a result, deterministic fallback use, generic generation-error categories, print actions, PDF downloads and outbound affiliate clicks. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. We do not enable Google Signals, User ID or advertising personalization.

Compass and downloads

CruiseGuide does not send Google Analytics the raw Compass form, selected ports, concerns, free text, a generated brief identifier or complete destination URLs. Compass and PDF downloads require no email address or account.

Affiliate services

Outbound booking, excursion or cruise links lead to third-party providers. A provider may use third-party cookies and process booking or conversion data under its own privacy policy. CruiseGuide records only controlled click categories on this site; the provider’s dashboard and policy govern the booking itself.
